What's New?
A new option for configuring ST rates is also included with the new
version of PLI/RPLI Counter Assistant Tool.You can update ST rates
yourself when the Govt change the ST rates from time to time.Mail me if
you have any problem while installing or using the application.Mail id
is given below on the bottom of this page.
How to Install this application ?
First download the setup from the link given below
- Open your download folder and Run CounterAssistantTool.exe as administrator
- To run as admin. Right mouse click on CounterAssistantTool.exe and select 'Run as administrator' from the options. Screen shot is given below.
- Installation wizard will appear.Follow the instructions. After finishing Installation
- Go to Local Disk C and open the folder Counter Assistant Tool. There you can find the application.
- Right mouse click on the application (Counter Assistant Tool). And send to desktop as shown as below.
If you have faced problems while installing or running, I suggest to use the old Version of Counter Assistant Tool. Click here to download the old version of Counter Assistant Tool. Its very simple to use.
How to use this tool ?
- Formula for calculating Rebate, ST and Default fee is the same for RPLI and PLI.
- Enter single premium amount in the field for Premium Amount.Enter total number of Installments in case of Calculating ST.Enter number of advance installments or number of defaulted installments in case of calculating Rebate or Default Fee respectively.
For calculating ST:-
First enter the premium amount and then enter number of installments.
Check the Date of acceptance in premium receipt book to know whether it
is FYP (First Year Premium) or Renewal premium.Then click on "Calculate
ST on First year premium" or "Calculate ST on Renewal Premium".The
result will pop up. You just have to enter it in the field for ST in POS
module.ST on FYP is 3.50% and ST on Renewal Premium is 1.75% w.e.f
01.6.2015.
Configure ST Rates:
Governement may change the rate of Service Tax on PLI and RPLI from time
to time.You do not have to download this application every time they
change the ST Rates.There is an option provided for configuring ST
Rates.
For calculating Rebate:-
First enter the premium amount and enter the number of advance
installments in "Number of installments". Then click on " Calculate
Rebate".The result will pop up. You just have to enter it in the field
for Rebate in POS Module.
For calculating Default Fee:-
First enter the premium amount and enter the number of Defaulted
installments in "Number of installments". Then click on " Calculate
Default Fee".The result will pop up. You just have to enter it in the
field for Default Fee in POS Module.
